How to use a PS3 Controller to Play Diablo 3

So I have come to realize that Diablo III was not meant to be just played using a Keyboard and mouse, but also a controller as well! Yesterday while playing my buddy and I came up with the idea of using PS3 controllers we had laying around. We downloaded a couple programs and setup our buttons and started hacking and slashing!

First impressions was that of an old super mario brothers 3 gameplay. As I repeated hell mode all the way through and beat Diablo (in Hell Difficulty) and became comfortable with the controller setup it became second nature. The only issues I have is with wondering cursor if I lose track of what I'm doing. Other than that it works so much better than keyboard and mouse setup IMO, your opinion may differ though, but I like it! I think it's worth a try!

If you want to use a PS3 controller it is very simple. The two programs I use to get my PS3 controller to work are:

1. DS3 Tool
2. Joy to key

Just do a google search for these programs and use them to get a PS3 controller to work with Diablo 3.

Here are the controls I use as well, you can always choose whatever you like, but these work great for me:

My controls are as follows for my Barbarian:

Left Analog Stick = Movement
Right Analog Stick = Mouse Control
Square = Mouse Click
Triangle = Attack (Blinding Flash)
Circle = Attack (Dash)
X = Attack (Crippling Wave)
Select = Open Skill Menu
Start = Open Inventory
L2 = Drop banner
L1 = Attack (Lashing Tail Kick)
R2 = Teleport to town
R1 = Potion
Then directional pad is used for quick chat commands, or extra skills in the future.

On a lazy day I am definitely going to be grinding some Diablo III monsters from the comfort of my bed.

And sorry, I do not provide any installation or troubleshooting issues associated with this!  Just letting you know it's possible and the programs I personally used to get it to work.

Also, for a lot of interesting strategies and stuff for Diablo 3 I recommend getting Diablo 3 Gold Secrets By Peng Joon, there is a small price for it but worth it.
